True Artificial Intelligence?

Man continues to push the envelope and work towards artificial intelligence to approximate the human brain. While I think they have a long way to go, take a look at how far technology has evolved in just the past 50 years and think about how far it could go in the next 50.
Do you think man will ever create AI as complex as a human brain, or will there always be something they can’t quite get? Assuming it could be achieved, do you think it should?

I think that with the advancement of technology we will eventually get to a point where we would be able to create a sentient being, creature, robot, or even computer. But we are not yet ready for that. We can’t even get along with each other, that would be like Terminator come true. Or worse.
