I, Robot portrayed a world where robots were a part of everyday life. Almost everyone had a “companion” who helped with household chores and much more.

 

 
 
 
 
 

 
FACT:
 
The CB2 Robot is just one example of robotics working towards advanced humanoid robots. This one is replicating the cognitive development of humans, learning emotions and behaviors just like a child would.

 There are many other robots currently being used (mostly non-humanoid) and many more underway, including fashion model-bots, secretary-bots, and more.

 
 
There’s quite a ways to go before there’s a robot in every home, but it could definitely be in our future. Of course, in I,Robot, the robots tried to kill all the humans…. but I’m sure that won’t happen to us, right?
